Although a native Lake County resident, I learned about so many programs and opportunities available in our county; that I never would have learned about if not for Leadership Lake County. I was very nervous about joining, because I knew no one (other than fearless leader Maryann), and I am not an outgoing person at first. But I made friendships with my fellow classmates that will last a lifetime. My fellow classmates share a passion for serving the community and are changing the world one project at a time.
